Back on the River Tyne

Sentry Boats is back on the River Tyne, providing essential safety boat cover as restoration work on Newcastle’s iconic Tyne Bridge moves into its next phase.

Our latest photograph, captured by our onboard camera, shows the Tyne Bridge in the early morning sunshine as our crew returns to support the scaffolding teams working above the river.

With the encapsulation now being removed from the eastern side of the bridge, scaffolders are now preparing for the next stage of the restoration project.

Our Safety Boats and experienced crews are once again on hand, providing essential safety cover for personnel working over the water, ready to respond should assistance be required.

At Sentry Boats, we’re proud to continue supporting this important project, helping keep workers safe while one of the North East’s most recognisable landmarks undergoes its transformation.
